Date: September 2020
The Brief
The Pump House Penstock Structure and Gravity Outfall Structure were in need of various repair works as part of North Drain Pumping Station’s improvement programme, for the Environment Agency.
The Solution
Pressure washing the walls to remove any contaminates and loose debris before completing various types of repairs to the gravity outfall structure. The works included were Crack stitching, Resin Injection using Tampur 150, traditional Concrete repairs following the Intercrete (formerly Flexcrete) repair system and joint renewal using Sikaflex Pro 3. All the works for the Gravity Outfall were accessed from a Floating Pontoon.
On the Penstock Structure concrete repairs were required to the structures soffit. Traditional concrete repairs were completed also using the Intercrete repair system.
