The Brief
Three of the six sludge bed storage tanks were found to have leaks so remedial repair works and specialist coatings was required by the client.
The Solution
The initial requirement was to high pressure wash and clean out the tanks. Carry out concrete repairs to walls and floors, repair previously patched horizontal joints and apply a full Interecrete 4840 (formerly Cemprotec E942) waterproofing chemical resistant coating to the walls and floors.
During the course of the works the need for additional application of Intercrete 4820 (formerly Monolevel 844SP) render and repairs using Intercrete 4872 (formerly Cemprotec 2000-S) reinforcement bandage became apparent, these works were also carried out as part of the scheme.
